A government minister in Papua New Guinea and a woman he is allegedly in a relationship with, have been summoned to appear at the Port Moresby Family Court, with the woman's husband seeking compensation.

The Post Courier reports the complainant is seeking orders that the minister pay him over 300 US dollars in compensation and a further order restraining the woman and the minister from seeing each other.

The complainant stated in his affidavit that his marriage was fine until his wife got a job in 2003 with the minister.
