New chief executive for South Pacific Stock Exchange

The South Pacific Stock Exchange has a new chief executive.

Jinita Prasad joins the SPSE after a six-year stint at investment bank and brokerage firm, Kontiki Capital.

She takes over from Sanjay Sharma.

The Fijilive website reports that Ms Prasad has held key executive positions within the Kontiki Group including, associate director and head of equity capital markets.

While at Kontiki, Ms Prasad was licensed by the Capital Markets Development Authority as a broker and dealer representative.

Before joining Kontiki, Ms Prasad was an accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Ms Prasad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in accounting and financial management from the University of the South Pacific and a graduate diploma in applied finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
