Japan and Vanuatu sign cooperation agreement

Vanuatu and Japan have signed an Agreement on technical cooperation between the two governments.

The Daily Post reports that Vanuatu's foreign minister, Sato Kilman, signed the agreement with Masashi Namekawa, the Ambassador of Japan.

The agreement sets up privileges, exemptions and facilities for Japanese personnel requested from Japan by the Vanuatu government.

The conclusion of this agreement is expected to further contribute to the implementation of Japan's technical cooperation with Vanuatu as well as further the economic and social development of the country.
