A fire in French Polynesia has damaged a power supply plant in Tahiti.
One person was injured in the blaze which broke out in central Papeete late yesterday afternoon.
The Tahitipresse news agency says the cause of the fire is not known.
The head of the plant, Joel Allain, says it will take weeks to repair the damage.
Power supply restrictions are now in place because Tahiti's other power plant at Punaruu is unable to provide enough power for all consumers.
