A new shipping service from Tonga to Auckland will begin at the end of the month.
The shipping service will be operated by the Auckland based company Reef Shipping Ltd.
The MV Southern Tiare will sail from Auckland to Ha'apai via Niue, before returning to Auckland.
Tonga's Acting Prime Minister, Dr. Fred Sevele, says the new service gives Tongans an opportunity to have their produce exported directly to New Zealand.
