Solomon Islands police are cracking down on the illegal production of spirits or kwaso.
Yesterday just outside Honiara, they seized about 90 litres of kwaso.
They also removed the equipment used to distil the drink.
Police say the process used is produce kwaso is unhygienic and can lead to liver disease and mental illness.
They have called for people with knowledge about other distillery sites to contact them.
