Three people have been arrested in American Samoa following a police raid at two houses in Tafuna and Pavaiai.

Suspected crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and weapons, including rifles and handguns, plus an array of ammunition were seized from the two homes yesterday.

Arrested was a couple and a man believed to work as a mechanic for the husband.

Police official, Vaa Sunia says the husband has been under surveillance for suspected drug dealing.

He also says he was concerned about the amount of weapons and ammunition found.

Reports say the two homes raided may have belonged to the couple.

Two weeks ago, police arrested a couple after finding ice and marijuana during a search of their Malaloa home.
