The Bahai faith in Kiribati has expressed concern at what it calls Iranian anti-Bahai treatment towards their brothers and sisters in Iran.

A nine-member executive council of the Kiribati Bahai faith issued a statement, saying they fear that the life of their fellow members are in danger as the Iranian government-sponsored propaganda against their faith.

According to the statement released by the Bahai headquarters in Tarawa, the Bahai executive will visit government and several members of parliament to muster support for their fellow members in Iran.

The Bahai faith is one the minority churches in Kiribati and that has been recognized by government.
