The opposition party in Kiribati says it's well organised despite rumours being spread by government supporters.

Opposition MP, Tetaua Taitai, says it has not dropped Harry Tong from the party and selected a new leader, and presidential candidate ahead of the general elections next year.

Dr Tetaua says Dr Tong is still their leader, and the party cannot be pushed around by what he calls the government supporters' lies.

He says the tactics of the present government is spreading lies about our party.
