American Samoan chamber of commerce seeks better contact with ASG

The American Samoa Chamber of Commerce has reviewed a draft three-year plan of action to address major issues affecting the local economy.

Full details of the plan aren't yet available.

But Samoa News says one of the top priorities is for more regular dialogue with the American Samoa Government and the Federal government.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce say that the local government often makes plans without seeking in-put from the local business community.

The Chamber hopes to put a stop to that and to encourage a public and private sector partnership to foster economic development.
