Veteran Fiji and Pacific Islands journalist, Robert Keith-Reid, has died in a Brisbane hospital aged 64.
Mr Keith-Reid has been best known in the Pacific as publisher of Islands Business International which has specialized in regional news coverage.
He suffered a heart attack while on an assignment in Solomon Islands in late March and was transferred to Brisbane where he underwent a heart bypass operation.
He was recovering when he collapsed in a hotel near the hospital and died on Saturday.
Mr Keith-Reid arrived in Fiji from Britain as a young man in the 1950s and worked for the Fiji Broadcasting Commission and the Fiji Times before setting up his own publishing business.
