The secretary-general of the Pacific Island Forum, Greg Urwin, has announced that this year's annual Forum meeting will be held in Tonga between October the 23rd and 26th.
All the meetings will be held in the capital, Nuku'alofa, except for the Leaders Retreat, which will be held in Vava'u.
Mr Urwin says this year's Forum will consider progress on the Pacific Plan for closer regional cooperation and integration.
The Forum Officials Committee will meet in Fiji in early October ahead of the summit.
The meeting in Tonga is also likely to revisit the issue of labour mobility.
