American Samoa's inter island Airlines' Dornier aircraft is down again, this time for an engine problem.

An airline official says their aircraft will be grounded until a replacement engine arrives from Germany early next week.

The French made Dornier had just returned to service Tuesday morning after it was grounded last Friday with a propeller problem encountered mid flight from Pago Pago to Samoa.

The 19-seater aircraft then encountered an engine problem Wednesday afternoon and following a maintenance check, it was decided that aircraft would be down while awaiting a replacement.
