A damaged tube at the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation's Power Plant in Northern Marianas has caused power outages in Saipan for the past two days.
CUC spokesperson Pamela Mathis told the Saipan Tribune that an engine had overheated and broken fan blades in the cooling system had punctured the tube.
The CUC has implemented load shedding while the problem is under repair.
