5:30 am on 20 June 2006

The Tonga rugby union side will take a break from the International Rugby Board's inaugural Pacific five nations tournament this weekend, to play their home and away world cup qualifier against the Cook Islands in Rarotonga.

Tonga who lost to the leaders the Junior All Blacks are currently second on the Five nations ladder.

However, captain Nili latu says while they are match fit, they're not expecting an easy encounter with the Cook Islands.

"If we don't make the cut I guess Tonga's going to be in a big hole, we have to respect Rarotonga, we're going to go in there knowing that we're going to be in there for a fight, we are going to prepare and look forward to next week."

The test will be played in Rarotonga this weekend.
