Cook Islands MPs may consider a new government from tomorrow morning

The Cook Islands Parliament resumes tomorrow morning amid predictions that there'll be a change of government.

This follows a by election last week won by Kiriau Turepu from the opposition Cook Islands Party.

A vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister Jim Marurai is on the agenda, but the budget is due to be passed first.

CIP officials claim to now have the support of 13 MPs in the 24 seat parliament, though this is disputed by Mr Marurai who says two members of the CIP remain committed to his government.
