The Fiji World Netball Cup CEO, Mary Lomaloma, says it could be up to a month before they know if their search for a two-million Fiji dollar sponsor for next year's tournament is successful.
Lomaloma and a strong delegation travelled to the United States recently to put their case for funding to the headquarters of the local company Fiji Water.
However, Lomaloma says it could take up to a month before they hear back.
"We would like to give them as much time as possible, when I say that we could give them about a month because it's two million (Fiji) dollars, they are investing and this would be the largest sporting investment that Fiji Water would endevour to undertake."
The top 16 netball teams including New Zealand will take part in the tournament to be held in the Pacific region for the first time.
