Tourist arrivals to the Northern Marianas in July this year went down 14-point-2 percent compared to the same period last year.
This reflected in a loss of 6,555 visitors.
According to the Marianas Visitors Authority a total of 39,552 visitors came to the Commonwealth last month compared to 46,107 in July of last year.
The CNMI's top market of Japan showed a decline of 21-percent compared to last year, showing a loss of 6,598 tourists.
Visitors from the U.S. also declined by 47 percent to receive only 1,010 tourists last month.
