American Samoa to seek investors in Hong Kong

The American Samoan governor, Togiola Tulafono, will lead a delegation to Hong Kong later this month to scout for potential investors for projects in the hotel, real estate and recreational industries.

The group will take part in a real estate and trade exhibition known as MIPIM Asia.

Three main investment opportunities are being highlighted on Manu'a, including an 18-hole golf course in the village of Ta'u.

Also being promoted is the Mt. Alava Tramway which used to be a major tourist attraction before it was disconnected in 1980.

The territory is also enticing investors for the development of a boat marina in Pago Harbor.
