The break up of an alleged prostitution racket at a nightclub in Pago Pago in American Samoa last week has raised suspicions of an organized human trafficking racket which may have ties to Samoa and Fiji

Local law and security officials are collaborating with the local FBI in investigating the situation.

Court affidavits filed in the government's case against two Chinese nationals believed to be a the forefront of the prostitution ring indicate that young Chinese women were promised jobs at a store.

They instead were forced in to prostitution.

They also were given bogus visas allowing them to remain in the territory illegally.

The victims said the Chinese man involved indicated he had friends in high places in American Samoa and in Samoa and Fiji.
