The police in Samoa have arrested the arson suspect who torched the Samoa Party leader, Su'a Rimoni Ah Chong's, traditional meeting house in Lano village.

Assistant police commissioner and spokesman, Papali'i Li'o, has told Radio Polynesia the suspect, who has evaded police for several weeks, is now in custody awaiting appearance in the district court next Wednesday.

Su'a's house was torched on August 16th, shortly after the former government minister and matai of Lano village, Mulitalo Siafausa Vui, was found guilty of bribery and treating.
