Fiji rugby union continues sevens dominance

The shadow Fiji rugby sevens side playing as the Oakley Cannons have won the Fiji Day sevens tournament in Melbourne.

The Waisale Serevi coached side thumped the Australian Fijians 42 points to 10 in the main final.

The star of the side and the player of the tournament was wing - Napolioni Nalaga who scored a hatrick of tries in the final.

Vima Tuidraki, Bruce Rauqe, Lepani Nabuliwaqa and William Ryder also got on the try scoring list.

The Australian Fijians fielded a star studded line-up that included former Fiji reps Eparama Navale, Mika Leawere, Solo Donu, Maleli Naiqitu and Sisa Waqa.

Oakley defeated Victorian Samoans 23 - nil in the semifinal and accounted for the Western Warriors 36 - 5 in the quarterfinal.
