The Pacific Islanders Rugby Alliance back coach and former All Black Shane Howarth says there's no doubt that Wales will be tough this weekend.

The PIRA side coached by Auckland Blues coach, Pat Lam, is made up of players from Fiji, Tonga and Samoa, and have three tests one each against Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Howarth says watching the game between Wales and Australia which ended in a 29 all draw at the Millennium Stadium highlights how tough its going to be for PIRA.

"I thought the Welsh did very well to comeback to draw that game, because I thought the Aussies were going to put it to bed, but I think it just shows the calibre of Wales at the moment, they've come right up in world rugby and it is going to be a huge task for us."
