Power surcharge cut a month after introduction in Fiji

Fiji's Commerce Commission has reduced the 30% fuel surcharge imposed on electricity bills one month after it was first imposed.

The new surcharge is 24%.

The Commerce Commission chairman, Thomas Raju, says the reduction has been brought about by lower oil prices on the international market.

Last week petrol diesel and kerosene prices dropped in Fiji.
