The Pacific Islanders Rugby Alliance made their Northern hemisphere debut this weekend going down to Wales by 38 points to twenty.

The Islanders were outplayed in the first half but pulled themselves together and played a much better second half.

The Welsh captain, Duncan Jones, says he was impressed by the way the Islanders fought back:

"As individuals they were often dangerous and we really had to dig in in the second half. We really had to defend every phase of the game to keep them out. I think they deserve a lot of credit for their performance."
