Samoa citizens will soon be able to apply for US visas in Apia

The US Embassy in Apia says a new pilot program that will allow Samoa citizens to apply and be interviewed for visas to enter the United States will be launched in December.

The Apia embassy says that every three months a consulate officer from New Zealand will travel to Samoa to conduct the interviews, which were previously carried out in Auckland.

Appointments will be limited because the visiting consular officer travels to Apia only one week in every three months.

The embassy in Apia said all applicants must log on to the Internet to complete the application form and get an appointment.
