The Tongan flanker Viliami Vaki will face a disciplinary hearing after Scotland's Chris Cusiter was ruled out for the rest of the season having severely injured his shoulder following a dangerous off-the-ball challenge.

The Borders half back was carried off after being floored during the Test triumph over the Pacific Islands Rugby Alliance side at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Vaki whose based in France with Perpignan, faces a long ban if he is found guilty of violent play.

A Six Nations spokeswoman has confirmed that PIRA's number six was cited by the match commissioner following an incident, and the matter will be dealt with by a disciplinary panel within the next few days.

Cusiter underwent surgery on Sunday and has set his sights on next year's World Cup after being ruled out of the Six Nations campaign.
