Papua New Guinea could benefit largely from Danish investors who are eager to explore the country's vast reservoir of under-utilised natural resources.
The country lacks the technological facilities for downstream processing and the entry of Danish investment could be a boost to its economy.
The Governor General Sir Paulias Matane highlighted this when he received the credentials of Denmark Ambassador-designate Niels Erik Anderson, at Government House this week.
The National newspaper reports Sir Paulias as saying that since 2004, exports to Denmark has increased by over 240%, and include tuna, coffee, vanilla, and timber.
