Samoan students attending the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji, have been told to leave and fly back home because of fear of another possible military led coup.
The Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, says four medical students have requested to stay behind for their graduation, but have been told to leave immediately.
The prime minister was asked about the safety of the students ahead of the special Pacific Forum Foreign affairs minister's meeting tomorrow where the stand-off between Fiji's military commander, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, and Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, will be discussed.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Tuila'epa who is also the Minister of Foreing affairs is unable to attend the meeting to be held in Sydney, Australia, but his deputy Misa Telefoni, is representing him.
