Fiji's Foreign Affairs Minister says it's business as usual for the Pacific nation's government, despite another deadline for a threatened military coup today.

Fiji's army chief Commodore Frank Bainimarama says the military is likely to force the government to step aside today.

And he's warned the government not to oppose him, saying if it does, the military will not be very kind.

The Foreign Minister, Kaliopate Tavola, says while the threat has created some anxiety, he doesn't believe the Commodore will deliver on it.
