NGO tells people to reject appointments by Fiji's military government

The Fiji Women's Rights Movement is calling on the people to turn down appointments to government agencies offered by the military administration.

The movement's executive director, Virisila Buadromo, says people need to realise any such position would be illegal.

The organisation says NGOs will record any illegal appointments and will ensure anyone involved will eventually face the full legal consequences.

Ms Buadromo says accepting such posts in the interim government will help guarantee the coup cycle and the assumption that it's acceptable to solve problems illegally with the gun.
