Guam's Governor Felix Camacho says that acting Deputy Chief of Police Paul Suba will be the interim chief of police.
The Pacific Daily News reports that Mr Suba will replace Police Chief Frank Ishizaki, who will be among the senators sworn into the 15-member 29th Guam Legislature on Monday.
Mr Suba has served with the police force for 26 years and graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in September.
