The Samoan government has decided to allow students studying at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji to return to classes, starting with medical students who will leave on the week-end.

The decision by cabinet this week follows assurances from the USP campus and the medical school that there is peace and no threat to the safety of students.

The government will continue to monitor the situation in Fiji
