Solomon Islands Opposition Leader, Fred Fono is to move the first of three opposition motions today seeking parliament's approval for the Solomon Islands Government to allow the 'Papua New Guinea Defence Board of Inquiry" to enter Solomon Islands for the purpose of its Inquiry.

Mr Fono's second Motion seeks Parliament's approval that the Government refrains from re-arming the police force, including the Prime Minister's VIP Officers

The third Opposition motion moves that the national parliament recommend to His Excellency, the Governor General, to invoke his powers under the constitution, to consider appointing a tribunal for purposes of investigating the reasons for the reported dismissal of the Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force.

Mr Fono says he hopes mps from both sides will use common sense and support the motions
