The Papua New Guinea foreign affairs and trade minister says construction work of the country's first ever five-star hotel will begin sometime this month in Port Moresby.

The Post Courier says Paul Tiensten had submitted a request for the construction of the world class hotel to the National Executive Council, which was approved last week.

It is to be built by a Korean firm.
