American Samoa residents urged to conserve water

6:24 am on 19 February 2007

The American Samoa Power Authority or ASPA is urging residents to cooperate in conserving water use.

ASPA says such as action is necessary because of problems being encountered from demands on the system and the authority's efforts to address production, maintenance and compliance issues while maintaining quality.

It says customers may experience low water pressure for an undetermined time period until further notice.

Last week, residents in Utulei, in the town area, complained over the lack of water.
