New Zealand super 14 sides surge to the top after week four

What a difference a week makes with New Zealand teams jumping to the top of the Super 14 rugby standings.

After a week when just 1 New Zealand team won, 4 teams took the honours over the weekend.

The Blues are top of the standings with 14 points after beating the Queensland Reds, the Hurricanes are a point back after their last gasp victory over the ACT Brumbies, while the Crusaders and Highlanders are 5th and 6th respectively after getting their campaigns back on track against South African opposition.

Unfortunetly the Chiefs are still winless, and have one more match in South Africa before returning home.

Highlanders coach Greg Cooper says while defences have been on top so far there are signs the Super 14 teams are now starting to work out how to crack the line a bit more often.
