The Fiji Netball coach, Vilimaine Davu has been given the green light to play for Fiji at the World Championships in New Zealand later in the year.

The clearance came from the International Federation of Netball Associations, after Netball Fiji wrote a letter to the world governing body asking that the defender be allowed to play for her country after she represented New Zealand at the last World Cup.

Davu says she is thrilled with the news as she prepares to hold the final national trials in Suva on Saturday.

Australia based Fijian players Talei Bari, Simone Nalatu and Majorie Parr have arrived in Suva for trials.

However, New Zealand based shooters Sala Hide and Susan Tagicakibau will not attend, but wil be considered for the squad.
