Papua New Guinea's Minister for Education, Michael Laimo, says the Government will spend more than 34 million US dollars on school fees for children nationwide.

Mr Laimo says the government is committed to achieving the goals of 'Universal Primary Education' and 'Education For All'.

It is also committed to reducing the burden of school fees on parents.

The Minister says the government must continue to increase access, and stop children dropping out of school, especially before the end of primary school.

He says strategies for working towards these goals are a central part of the National Education Plan
