Solomons Prime Minister welcomes criticism as healthy sign

Solomon Island's Prime Minister, Manasseh Sogavare, says he regards criticisms of Government as a healthy sign of governance and leadership.

In an interview with Solomon Islands Broadcasting, Mr Sogavare said critical comments help government leaders to direct their plans and actions in a way acceptable to the majority of the country's population.

Mr Sogavare said the government was serious about the issues facing the nation.

He said they had a a good line up of ministers who are really committed to delivering on election promises.
