Hurricanes king pin, Tana Umaga, says their next Super 14 rugby opponent won't suffer from jet lag.

The hurricanes have begun their two trip tour of South Africa with a 27-14 loss to the Sharks .

The Hurricanes have dropped to 10th in the competition and Umaga says there'll be no advantage over the Lions next week despite the homeside having to travel back from New Zealand.

"Everyone knows hard it is to play away but when you get home it akes you dig deeper, so I think what ever perceived advantage that we do have I think that is offset by them playing at their home ground, we know what kind of cauldron it is at Ellis Park we're not taking anything for granted."

Coach Colin Cooper has confirmed that his six returning All Blacks will get some game time.
