Manu Samoa former sevens rugby player, Kenneth Ulia, has been charged by police for threatening to kill his wife's niece following a family dispute in May last year.
Ulia has entered a not guilty plea to the charge when appeared in the Supreme Court this week.
The police say the defendant had threatened to kill his wife's niece with a pistol if she did not tell him the names of the men who had been phoning his wife.
The hearing is set for September but Ulia will appear next month for a separate trial on a different charge.
