Fiji Reserve Bank warns of another rise in inflation rate

The Reserve Bank of Fiji says inflation increased 1% in February and is expected to increase further in coming months.

The bank's latest economic overview says inflation stood at 3.6% in February compared with 2.6% in January.

It says the February consumer prices index increased because of higher costs of food, services, clothing, footwear and miscellaneous items.

The Reserve Bank says domestic and external factors are likely to raise inflation in the coming months.
