Tonga's Ministry of Labour, Commerce and Industries has presented seven projects as a strategy to turn the economy around in the next two financial years.

Radio Tonga reports the proposed projects are being discussed during the first national economic summit that is being held in Nuku'alofa.

The projects include establishing a Tongan market centre in Auckland, restructuring of the small industries centre in Ma'ufanga, the establishment of a fuel tanker farm in Tonga, and to design and develop national policies.

Those policies include a national investment strategy, a national private sector development strategy and a national export strategy.
