Fiji Sevens squad prepares for title defence

Fiji Sevens selectors have been forced to cut their 20-member training squad to 15 ahead of the final leg of the IRB Sevens World Series.

National coach Waisale Serevi, his assistant Joe Savou, and selectors Manasa Bari and Jope Tuikabe met in Suva yesterday to finalise a training squad that will march into camp this Sunday.

The 15-member squad, which will be named on Friday, will stay in camp for two weeks until the 12-member side that will represent Fiji in England and Scotland leaves the country.

Serevi says the decision to keep the players together for two weeks gives the side more time to prepare for their title defence.
