Leaders of the American Samoa Fono have requested additional funding to avoid a deficit at the end of the current fiscal year.
The senate president, Lolo Moliga, says a budget overrun of one million US dollars was expected.
But last week an additional $300,000 was approved.
Lolo informed Togiola that an additional $700,000 dollars is still needed to cover expenses or else there will be an overrun in the budget.
