Samoa telecommunications compay seeks license for broadband internet service

Samoa's telecommunications company SamoaTel has applied for a license as an Internet Service Provider in order to launch broadband services.

SamoaTel's CEO Mike Johnstone said they have been trialling a limited number of customers, and responses so far have been positive.

But current ISP license holders iPasifika Samoa Ltd and Computer Services Limited have indicated concerns about SamoaTel's application to provide broadband services.
