The government of Brunei is the latest country to donate funds towards the Solomon Islands National Disaster Relief Fund following last month's earthquake and tsunami.

A cheque for 50,000 US dollars was presented to Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Australia, Victor Ngele, in Canberra by his Brunei diplomatic counterpart, Mohammed Sahrip Othman.

Mr. Ngele said he was deeply grateful for the donation.
