Reports from Papua New Guinea says four people accused of sorcery were badly beaten by a mob in Morobe province.
Sorcery claims and attacks are widespread among Simbu and Eastern Highlands communities in Lae.
The newspaper, The National, reports three of the victims are women and the other is the husband of one of the women.
The attackers also raided the home of one of the victims and cut down trees and other food crops around the house.
In February, two elderly women from Eastern Highlands were burnt to death after they were suspected of dabbling in sorcery.
