Fiji to benefit from American Chamber of Commerce

9:57 am on 23 May 2007

Fiji is expected to benefit substantially from the opening of a branch in the country of the American Chamber of Commerce, AM-CHAM.

Based in the United States, AM-CHAM has 94 branches in 84 countries.

It is dedicated to promoting trade and investment between these countries and the US.

The chairman of its Fiji branch, Paul Dunk, says because of its reach, AM-CHAM can facilitate foreign companies wanting to do business in Fiji and provide opportunities for Fiji companies wanting to launch their products in the US.

Mr Dink says it can also provide office space and secretarial services and help members organize their business agendas in the United States.
